In 2013 startten Lode en Patricia "Wadaiko Gin no Piyoko" als coach voor 50plus-taikostudenten van AraUmi. Daaruit groeide een gedreven taikogroepje dat wekelijks samen oefent. De naam Gin no Piyoko - vrij vertaald "Zilveren Kuikens" staat symbool voor eeuwige studenten - werd stilaan een begrip en er volgden dan ook optredens voor buurt- en straatfeesten, themadagen, meerdere verjaardagsfuiven werden opgeluisterd, maar ook voor goede doelen werd Gin no Piyoko gevraagd.


Tijdens hun eerste reis naar Japan in 2014 werd het "Taiko Peace Project" geboren in Achii village waar ze verbleven tijdens de Tokara Inadani-week in Iida. Trommelen voor vrede; de creatie Niji Matsuri van Art Lee werd gekozen (Niji betekent Regenboog, symbool voor vrede) en met toestemming van de auteur Art Lee (Wadaiko Tokara) wordt nu elk jaar tijdens de Vredesweek en Internationale dag van de Vrede (21 september) met een aantal taiko-vrijwilligers een pop-up tournee door Vlaanderen gemaakt. 
Sinds 2015 reizen Lode en Patricia naar Europese steden om andere taikogroepen te ontmoeten via specifieke workshops. 'Nog meer leren en verbroederen' is hun devies!

Sinds 2016 nodigt Wadaiko Gin no Piyoko ook buitenlandse Sensei (leraren) uit voor betaalbare workshops in hun gastvrije gemeente Duffel om zo iedereen een kans te geven bij te leren in een gemoedelijke sfeer.
In 2018 maakten ze een tweede reis naar Japan voor een taiko-bootcamp … en vooral voor het warme gevoel en uitstraling van een (h)echte taiko-gemeenschap zoals ze al eerder in het buitenland ervaarden tijdens internationale taiko-events, zoals bijv. TaikoPalooza, European Taiko Conference (ETC), Taiko Sessions, e.a.
Dit brengt hen zelf naar de organisatie van een "First International Taiko Gathering" in België in 2019 !

C’est en 2013, que Lode et Patricia ont commencé, en tant que membres du "Wadaiko Gin no Piyoko", à entraîner des étudiants de Taiko de plus de 50 ans de Araumi daiko. Le nom Gin no Piyoko – signifiant "Poussins d'Argent", symbole d’étudiants éternels - a progressivement gagner en popularité et par conséquent, Gin no Piyoko fût demandé pour agrémenter des fêtes de quartier et de rue, des journées à thème, des anniversaires et aussi pour des bonnes causes. 

Après leur voyage au Japon en 2014 pour une semaine d' entraînement à Tokara (Inadani), Lode et Patricia se sont rendus dans divers pays européens afin de rencontrer d'autres groupes Taiko lors de différents workshops (ateliers d’entrainement) spécifiques. Dans leur communauté hospitalière Duffel, Gin no Piyoko invite régulièrement des Sensei étrangers pour donner des workshops à des prix abordables, offrant ainsi à chacun l'occasion de s'instruire dans une atmosphère conviviale.  

En 2018, Lode et Patricia se sont rendus une seconde fois au Japon pour y suivre un camp d'entraînement et en Europe ils ont encore assisté à de nombreux événements internationaux tels que le TaikoPalooza, la Conférence européenne de Taiko (ETC), Sessions de Taiko etc… Tout cela les a incité à organiser le premier Rassemblement International de Taiko (FIT-gathering) en Belgique en 2019! 
In 2013, as founders of "Wadaiko Gin no Piyoko", Lode and Patricia started coaching 50plus-Taiko students of the Araumi Taiko Academie. This generated a passionate taiko group that exercises weekly. The name Gin no Piyoko - freely translated "Silver Little Chickens" symbolizing eternal students - gradually became a concept and consequently Gin no Piyoko was asked to perform for neighbourhood- and street parties, theme days, several birthday parties, but also for good causes.

During their first trip to Japan in 2014, the 'Taiko Peace Project' was born in Achii Village where they stayed during the Tokara Inadani in Iida. Drumming for Peace; the creation Niji Matsuri of Art Lee was chosen (Niji means rainbow, symbol of Peace) and with permission of the author Art Lee (Tokara), a number of Taiko volunteers are now touring every year through Flanders during the Peace Week and International Day of Peace (21st of September).
Since 2015, Patricia and Lode have been travelling around to different European cities to meet other taiko groups during specific workshops. 'More learning and fraternizing' is their motto.

Since 2016, Wadaiko Gin no Piyoko invite foreign Sensei (teachers) for affordable workshops in their hospitable village Duffel, in order to give everyone a chance to increase their knowledge in a friendly atmosphere.

In 2018 they made a second trip to Japan for a taiko bootcamp … and especially for the warm feeling of a real taiko community as they already experienced abroad during international taiko events, such as eg. Taiko Palooza, European Taiko Conference (ETC), Taiko sessions and others.

This brings them to the organization of a 'First International Taiko Gathering' in Belgium in 2019 !
